Martin Garrix Gets a BBL? (Firebeat Friday Vol. 2)

And it's BIG...

What’s up legend!

I’m back again with the second instalment of my new ‘weekly roundup’ series, bringing you the freshest and spiciest bangers to kick your weekend off right.

So in no apparent order, here are the top 5 tunes I’m digging right now:

  1. KREAM - Sweat

It’s not the first time I’ve talked about Kream and I’m sure it won’t be the last. This tune is straight dripping in sauce and sounds expensive.

Vocals are catchy as hell, sound design and mixing are on point and they’ve added just the right amount of ear candy to keep you coming back again and again.

    Highly binge-able.

  2. Eli Brown - Be The One

Speaking of sex appeal, this record is downright fucking naughty.

If Eli’s combination of psy bassline, heavy detune and phased vocals don’t make you wanna rip your pants off and swing your d*ck around like a goddamn hills hoist clothing line then I don’t know what will.

Just make sure your neighbours aren’t home or they’ll probably call the police.

  3. Tujamo and Kid Ink - Drop That Low (Antoine Delvig Remix)

There have been a zillion remixes of this one over the years but I’m thrilled that someone finally got it right.

Antoine took all the best bits of Tujamo’s instrumental and Kid Ink’s vocals, scrapped the cringy drop vox and added a BOMB of a bassline. This one will wreak havoc on the dance floor.

Think Martin Garrix’s ‘Cocoon’ remix with a BBL.

  4. Empire of the Sun - We Are The the People (Southstar Remix)

The edit we didn’t know we needed. Southstar took this classic, strapped it to an energiser bunny and gave us a buzzing high-voltage banger that’s perfect for literally any occasion…

The club, the gym, driving, smoking, golfing, fucking, showering, taking your dog for a walk, taking your neighbour’s dog for a walk…

Seriously, there’s no occasion this track isn’t perfect for.

  5. Crystal Lake - The Feeling (feat. Colt Hill)

An instant feel-good classic, this one has that nostalgic vibe perfect for those long summer road trips.

Interestingly enough, the track only has one drop which I haven’t heard of in a very long time. But with upbeat vocals, shimmering guitars and Crystal Lake’s signature soaring square synths, one is all you need.

If you happen to be playing a huge festival this weekend, I’d probably close with this.

So, that’s it for this week!

Let me know, what tunes are you feeling lately? Hit reply and gimme your best.

I have 6+ shows coming up in Europe next month so I’m on the hunt for as much new music as possible!

ta ta for now x
